Where Cars Go to Die

A fun place for photographers to go. There’s not a lot of people that come here so it’s quiet and relaxing, unless you get bit by a snake. Fortunately, I did not see any. A few months back I saw a truck in town that I wanted to take a picture of on private property. I asked the woman if I can take a picture of it. It was in a car port on her property. She wanted a piece of the action and wanted me to split the profits with her on my photo! I told her I would pay her so I can take the picture on her property, but she didn’t like that idea. She said many people come wanting to do video work or photography cause it was once part of a plantation. She told me I can leave my portfolio in her mailbox for further viewing! Has anyone ever had something like this happen to them?

Anyway, this is a museum in White GA. that I went to and I really don’t need her measly image after all. As I approached the property I wasn’t impressed with the truck so it wasn’t my loss compared to this treasure that I found.

I was thinking, just for fun to give her a signed image of one of my trucks! What do you think?

The Pink Ribbon

There were plenty of landscaping opportunities on the large slab of stone that I was standing on. Stone Mountain has plenty of areas as does Lithonia where the surface is stone. But you do not see any of the stone here since I was focusing on the river. On the branch of the tree that fell over the river, a pink ribbon was tied to it. If fact there were quite a few pink ribbons along the river that was tied onto branches. I focused on the water to get this shot.

Mountain Peak, Before and After

I can’t believe this mountain is only one mile high. It takes forever to climb it. There are many other people that are climbing the mountain too, but in this picture is looks like there is no one there. Also, it seems as soon as I’m ready to take a picture, everyone has to walk in front of me. One dude walked in front of me 3 times and didn’t even realize what I was doing. I know, 1st world problems.
