Lumpkin and Columbus

The family and I took a road trip in the middle of nowhere to go hiking. Thank God my husband is patient with me to stop in the middle of the road so I can take a picture! I did this often on this trip while my family baked inside the car.

Hershey Store

What is a trip to NY without going to the Hershey Store? Yum! It’s pretty sad that I have all these pictures on my desktop waiting to be posted from centuries ago. I finally decided to organize myself so you will be seeing a lot of pictures in the future days ahead. I love going to stores that pay attention to close detail like the out door lights that are shaped like Hershey kisses. ❤

I heard about this Science Museum on GPB. It sounded fantastic. Being that it was a Coca Cola Museum, I was expecting all the bells and whistles. Instead I got one bell. I wish I had visited the Infantry Museum instead nearby. Or the Civil War Naval Museum. Maybe I’ll return to visit just the museums.

The highlight of the space museum for me was the Planetarium. The technology was up to date and very informative. I wish we could have seen the observatory at night. My son liked the flight simulators that he was able to ride. They had some great NASA equipment too.

For the price and small size it was a good stop over if you are in Columbus GA. If you have a half hour to spare, this would be the place to stop. It’s very interactive for the children too.
